Ok so if im being honest i really like Monty's characters, even though you're supposed to hate him. TRUST I HAVE MY REASONS!! So he was treated badly by his dad and abused by his dad (we dont know about his mom, and idk if Estela had the same relationship with her dad as monty did) and being beat at home really rubs on you. Also, he was the only Hispanic kid in the mix of all those white boy football players (besides Diego but he appears in the last season) and you can bet they were very toxic so that influenced him to be horrible too. BUT when he went to jail i feel like that was his last straw and he really realized who he was becoming and how he could try and fix himself WITHOUT THE JOCKS! Unfortunately he couldnt get to that because a deranged prisoner stabbed him and he died :(((( also sometimes his jokes were kinda funny even though they had snobbier meanings and i just feelbad for him

Hi! I was wondering if the "13 reasons why" books were as violent as the show. From what I know, the show is really violent, and I don't think I'll be able to watch it
