In all honesty there are people that could have helped her but she wasn’t able to reach out to them. You can judge so easily watching her onscreen and you can say all of the things she could have done. But would you, in the situation feeling all that you’re feeling without a clear head, be able to reach out and say something? Hannah Baker is a human being and we have no idea what was in her head when it was happening. Hannah says in her own words that she feels these people are responsible for her death. She didn’t kill herself for no reason, you may not think they are responsible but for her they were because they heavily contributed to her taking her own life. So many things can push you over the edge. In Clay’s tape she says that this one is all on her. It wasn’t his fault but he is a part of her story. I do believe that she could have written a letter to Tony telling Clay all that she told Clay instead of making Clay believe her death was his fault. For me what she did with Clay is messed up, especially with him grieving for her. He constantly questions what he did and how he could have helped only to be told he didn’t do anything wrong and then still believing it was his fault. Clay seems to be the only one on her list that didn’t do anything wrong, in her words. I don’t think we should be blaming Hannah after all she went through.
