I don’t think it’s 100% her fault but she chose to do it herself you can’t deny that , others took part in her death yes ( mentally at least and in bryce’s part physically)
I'll rephrase
It was 100% her fault/choice to kill herself
The reasoning was other ppl fault
But she still chose to kill her self
If we blame others I fear will end up saying hannah made the right Choice
I am sorry but all I hear is people sitting behind their screens, deciding if they should blame the reasons or the girl herself, for her death. Which is quite unfortunate but hey that's society.
She did what she did coz she felt it was right. No one educated her on that. No one comforted her on that. The whole point of this story, of this series is to tell the bloody people sitting in air conditioned rooms, deciding what to keep in course and what not, and people sitting behind the screen, having not even a pint of courage as much as this girl; that educate children the right way.
Teach about social awareness, proper sex education, teaching that LGBTQIA+ is natural and normal, teaching that there is no such thing as escape, that you face life head on! No matter what, teach about interaction, that how you must respect everyone and not become a Bryce or a Monty, to stand up to your demons!
And to all those people sitting in the comfort of their houses, suicide requires courage, not that it's the right thing to do. On the contrary, it's one of the most horrendous acts to be done, to not respect the life force within you, but to insult a suicide is even more herendous, I'd go ahead and say horrific! You don't know what she felt, what was going on in her head, how did she even come to that conclusion.
How she felt violated, humiliated, alone, betrayed, loveless and without any purpose.
She tried finding reasons of "why not" but she couldn't. She had many many many more but she just couldn't. And YES everyone contributed to it. It wasn't all her fault but everyone had a share in it.
Nah I disagree
Suicide is the weak answer
Do I feel bad got ppl who think suicide is there only answer yes
But when you choose to kill your self regardless of the reason that is on you
She had her reason yea but that does not mean shes not to blame for cutting her own wrist
Her parents just lost a child neither one of them killed themselves
The main kid lost his bestfriend
He didnt kill himself
Suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary problem
Well, I can not force feed you and educate you what life is. And I would never want anyone to stand in her position but you learn from experience only.
Suicide is wrong, but what are you going to tell all those who have committed suicide? And if you are one of those who think this is all about Hannah, then I think you really need to rethink on it. This is the story of those hundreds and thousands of students, for whom dying was the only option. What would you say to a girl who was kidnapped, and sexually assaulted for months by a mob, and when she couldn't find any escape, she decided to die rather than be sexually assaulted? Yeah welcome to real life. Things like these happen. That is what is wrong. As I was saying, you don't even have the slightest idea of what is going on in their mind, you don't know what they felt. And it's quite understandable. Not everyone knows empathy.
What would I say to them?
Idk prolly there's another way
Killing your self should never be an answer
Again man I'm putting the blame on hannah because shes the one that put the razor to her wrist
Shes the one who blames them
Yes she was bullied yes life must have been hard but again she chose to put the razor to her wrist
He reason for wanting to die are external yes
Your saying she couldn't try and talk to anyone else other than the school therapist
I've known plenty of ppl who were in her place
I've talked a couple of them out of suicide
Had she killed her bullies she would be blamed with little to no sympathy on her side
I do feel bad for her I hate what her "friends" did
But again she chose to end it
A suicide is never a choice.
It's a desicion that comes after a sequence of one or more than one events tgat involve the one commuting a suicide.
And I have talked out a guy 11 times. And a few others, having been there myself. So when I say it's not a choice,I mean it never ever is a choice. It's a desicion that comes after a sequence of bad events.
Oh Oki think I'm getting what you saying
so your saying its not a choice because once you start to consider suicide you feel as tho you have no other choice
I'm saying blame her that way when other kids see shows like this they dont think it's ok just because they are in a similar situation as hannah
Wasnt there a huge up spike in suicides once this show first aired
On the contrary a lot of people started to speak up and speak out.
13RW even promoted the semi-colon movement. An author uses a ';' to pause instead of a full stop. In the same way an author of life, when decides to commit suicide but instead fights through with it and survives.
13RW has helped uncover many many horrors of school and college lives. And the purpose of this show is to educate people that suicide is never an option, and that no matter how many reasons are tyere to "Why" there are always many more reasons to "Why not".
Ahh ok
