He's been raised in an abusive household and his dad is homophobic. Add in that he had to keep up a front at school to continue to be a hypermasculine American football player and you get one messed up kid. Key word there being kid.
Does this excuse any of his previous actions? No. But he definitely doesn't deserve to be falsely accused of murder and then murdered himself just to cover up the real murderer's crime.
I personally do not believe in the death penalty for any crime, or that abuse is a cycle that can't be broken. So maybe that's why I feel this way.
His father should've been punished for spitting in his face, honestly. I don't think he committed suicide. Probably someone killed him. I'm not on his side either, but using him as a scapegoat is cringy.
