Brenda Lee Strong (b. March 25, 1960) is an American actress. She portrays Nora Walker in Netflix's 13 Reasons Why.
Biography[]
She was born in Portland, Oregon, United States, and grew up in Brightwood. In 1978, she graduated from Sandy Union High School in Sandy, Oregon. Later in life, she moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music academic degree. In 1980, she was crowned Miss Arizona. She is best known for her Emmy-winning role as Mary Alice Young in Desperate Housewives (2004-2012).
Other supporting roles included Dallas (2012-2014), Scorch (1992), and The Help (2004). In more recent roles, she portrayed Queen Nia in The 100 (2016-2019), Ilene Stowe in Fear the Walking Dead (2016-2017), and Lillian Luthor in Supergirl (2016-2021).
