Quotes[edit | edit source]

I’ve been in high school myself and I know what that time is like. When I was initially cast, I sat down with creator and writer Brian Yorkey who asked me a lot of interesting questions. Later, after we’d actually gotten to work, I started noticing that a lot of the answers that I’d given him were in the script. He also allowed my character to speak a little bit of Spanish, which spoke to the root of where I come from. So I could really relate to my character and I have to thank Brian Yorkey for that.
